| The
Personal Search is a crucial part of a conveyancing transaction.
Searches of this Register are fraught with difficulty because of
the many permutations of spelling and punctuation in names and
addresses. Millar & Bryce do not rely on the official Register
of Inhibitions and Adjudications but maintain our own computerised
system where experienced searchers check each new entry in the
Register against our own database. |
| This
allows us to build up a history of entries against an individual
which reflects variations in spelling and addresses and links
people inhibited under different names and aliases. Millar &
Bryce's Personal system has been further enhanced by the inclusion
of data from the Register of Insolvencies. This enables our search
to both disclose greater detail of sequestrations and ensure
disclosure of these which have, in error, not been intimated to
the Keeper by the sheriff clerk and therefore are not registered
in the Register of Inhibitions and Adjudications. |
| At
the present time searches in the Register of Insolvencies do not
include searches against Limited Companies. These can be obtained
from our Company Search Department. |
