Property records in Scotland have traditionally been held on a geographic county basis. Therefore trying to ascertain whether an individual or an organisation owns land or property countrywide isn’t a straightforward process. At Millar & Bryce we can provide a multi county search which can search the whole of Scotland and across both the Land and Sasine Registers to identify any current ownership.

Product Details

We offer a two stage process.
Stage 1 - We search the relevant Sasine and Land Register indices against the required individual names or organisations and provide the resulting index pages
The Sasine Register has different indices depending on the date that a Title was recorded. Generally we will search against pre and post 1959 persons indices
In the Land Register we will search against both Title Sheets and Applications to ensure that we catch any applications for registration that have been submitted but registration is not yet complete.
Stage 2 – Once we have identified all properties that are owned by an individual or organisation we can provide more detail on the property and Title
